The IT Futures Centre claims award at the prestigious ICT Excellence Awards 2008.
Held at the National Motorcycle Museum on Thursday, 22 November 2008 the Centre won the ICT Excellence Award for 'Best Added Value Project' for the e-Business Adoption Project. The initiative, which was launched in January 2007, was recognised for its support in helping tourism and leisure businesses adopt IT. Diana Thompson, Business Director for IT Futures, said: “We are absolutely delighted about this award and it is fantastic for the e-Business Adoption team who have helped over 250 small and medium sized businesses. The project has been so successful in making a real difference to businesses across the region. We’re working with companies who may well otherwise struggle to find the resources to access new technology, but thanks to the support we receive from Advantage West Midlands we are able to continue to do more for businesses in the region”.
